Windows mobile twitter client or RSS reader?

Any twitter users out there?

I've got a WM phone with no SMS plan (why pay for text when I've got unlimited data and push email?), and a bunch of friends/family on twitter.

Is there a good WM twitter client app out there?  Twitter recommended Cellity, but it's pretty unusable on my phone, largely because there's no way (that I know of) to permanently give a java app permission to access the network, so every single network access attempt results in a prompt (who the hell thought that was a good idea?).

Ideally, I'd like an app that can periodically poll for updates, and notify me of new tweets.

Twitter does have an appropriate RSS feed, so a good RSS reader would suffice as well; anyone have any experience with those?

I use Opera Mini as my Web browser and RSS feed reader and find it to be very useful.  It seems easier to use than the Windows built-in RSS reader.  You navigate to a page in Opera Mini and if there is an RSS feed link there you should be able to add it.

Hrm, apparently Opera Mini does RSS, but Opera Mobile -- Mini's slightly beefier cousin, with features like tabbed browsing -- doesn't.  Opera mini is pretty unusable on this thing, thanks to the aforementioned Java issue.

I'm currently looking at using twittd via palringo.  Has the advantage of running in the background and notifying me of new tweets.

Sorry to hear it doesn't work for you... Opera Mini works great on my HTC Touch (Mobile Pro 6.1) and Blackjack II (MObile 6 for Smartphones) and I don't get a recurring permissions verification.

Looks like the work around for my java issue is switching java runtimes
