3 UK launches Skypephone S2

The Skypephone S2 has been officially announced by UK carrier 3, and is available today for preorder, with real shipments expecting to start on August 27th. The S2 offers users the ability to stay connected with their Skype contacts throughout Europe, and can also function as an HSDPA modem for a laptop computer.
A 3.2 megapixel camera ensures that it's not all business, and the microSD card slot offers plenty of extra storage for your photos. Social networking is also possible, thanks to quick access to Facebook, Google, and Windows Live Messenger. Specs are not clear at this point, but it appears that the S2 supports only European GSM/EDGE and UMTS frequency bands.
The 3 Skypephone S2 is available free with select 3 UK rate plans or for GBP79.99 (US$117) with pay-as-you-go plans.
