The first beta of the iPhone firmware v2.2 is out the door.
No word yet on anything new it actually does, but we can always hope.

Firmware 2.2 Beta 1 Released

Hopefully the Push Notification feature is included. As soon as that's available, the apps will start to get incredibly powerful.
