Apple has finally ditched the NDA for software developers.  This should significantly speed up development of new applications since developers can finally share experiences and help each other.

It will still cover unreleased features, but it's still a huge step in the right direction.

Took 'em long enough.

I'm sure they did it because they were feeling the heat from developers. Seems like some of them weren't so happy about the way they were being treated by Apple.

Plus, it's been proven time & time again that having an open platform helps developer adoption. Apple's stuff is pretty popular right now, but it isn't the only game in town, and opening things up certainly isn't going to hurt anything.

Frankly, I'm still surprised they put everything under NDA in the first place.
