$99 iPhone at Walmart? What about the plans?

It sounds like Wal-Mart will be selling the iPhone and there's rumor of a $99 iPhone. That's great and dandy with the lower potential price point, but what about the plans? For most consumers, I don't think the barrier to becoming a proud iPhone user is the cash that has to be schilled out when you buy the phone, but the monthly subscription fee that will drag on for 2 years. When you add that up, the cost of the phone itself is a drop in the bucket.

So, the rumor that will get me excited is if AT&T is announcing new price plans to go along with these rumored cheap iPhones.

Has anything been said about how subscriptions will be handled? I assume you'll activate at home?

They have to come out with cheaper plans. The people who shop at Wal-Mart are very price sensitive.
