Pretty interesting... kind of a bummer you have to have Safari open in order to run the program... but its probably just a matter of time before it is a stand alone program, eh?

 

Maybe I should buy one of these fancy little things after all...

Too bad nobody uses google chat. Would be nice to have someone create apps for some of the more popular messengers. I'm sure someone will come up with something.

There was couple of native iPhone apps at first, Apollo which was unstable and eventually retired and then MobileChat which supported several IM protocols. If you are a current Jailbroken owner look for AM Messenger in Installer. It supports ICQ, MSN, AOL, Yahoo!, Jabber as well as GoogleTalk. Its a well done app. You can snap photos in real time and send them to your online contacts, as well as change your display message and nickname. I want to see if Microsoft releases a MSN client for the iPhone later on.
