New forum badges

We see other forums using signatures all over the place, so we wanted to enable our users to have Huddler badges for those sig files. We definitely don't want you to violate anyone else's terms, but thought it would be a cool way to get word out about the site in your sig file's or on blog's etc.

 

Now, on any tab of your Product Profile, there is text that says, "Get a forum badge for this tab"

 

 

 

It outputs a badge that looks like this and provides links for using it in HTML or BBCode...pretty cool.

 

 

What do you think?

I actually think it's a great way to get the site's name out there. I don't see how this will violate any rules on other sites.

I'd read up on rules on other sites before assuming it is okay.  Take HowardForums, for example (underlining is my notation):

 

"Advertising/Spamming - Any form of advertising or soliciting members or commerical website linking (excluding signatures of current HowardForum advertisers) whether publicly posted (including signatures) or sent privately (including email or PM) is strictly prohibited. This also includes, but is not limited to advertising with the intent to 'help people', or to provide 'free' products or services (e.g. 'free unlocking' posts), or links containing a referral or affiliate ID."
