The QWERTY phone is now available to Verizon customers. It costs $69.99 with a two year contract. This phone just looks really odd, namely because of its shape. More info

Features:

  • 2.2" display (220x176 resolution)
  • 1.3 megapixel camera
  • microSD support
  • bluetooth 2.0
  • V Cast music with Rhapsody subscription

I received this phone yesterday and already I love it. I am over 40 so the screen for people my age is easier to read. My last phone was the Juke which has a very tiny screen. It was very hard to read text messages or see pictures. I also like the qwerty keyboard and that I can download music to this phone. I'm one of those people who never follow the crowd so I'm always looking for something different. The Blitz fits that bill perfectly. I can't say enough about this phone.

That's really cool to hear! I have been looking for a Verizon upgrade for a while, but stopped the search when I won a BB Storm. It should get delivered in the next week or so and hopefully it'll work out for me, but the reviews have been pretty mixed. If I don't LOVE it, I'll check out the Blitz - thanks for the heads up.

Make sure you apply the leaked .75 software update when you get the Storm... it cures a lot of the accelerometer quirks.
